Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will analyze a variety of financial transactions, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and perform account reconciliations. The role also supports audit preparation, consolidates financial data, and carries out additional accounting duties as required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance‑sheet schedules.
• Execute general ledger entries, journal postings, and payroll processing.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate balance‑sheet accounts.
• Generate invoices, maintain accounts‑receivable files, and produce related reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation and reconciling data.
• Investigate and resolve irregularities in customer accounts.
• Guide junior accountants and collaborate with the finance team on expense and revenue analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proven experience with general ledger functions and month‑end close procedures.
• Strong understanding of audit processes and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
