Accounts Payable Accountant – Fashion Retail & E‑Commerce

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to oversee supplier payments and inventory accounting within our fast‑moving fashion retail and e‑commerce business. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of import‑heavy supply chains and thrive in a dynamic retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices from local and international fashion vendors, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
• Manage local and international payment runs, track credit terms, due dates, and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle import and inventory accounting, including landed‑cost calculations and duty reconciliation.
• Perform payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement.
• Manage intercompany and multi‑country accounting across group entities.
• Book and allocate expenses to the appropriate cost centers.
• Oversee petty cash management and support month‑end closing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in fashion retail, e‑commerce, distribution, or trading.
• Solid experience in import accounting, inventory costing, and supplier reconciliation.
• Professional certification such as CMA, ACCA, CA Inter or equivalent is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (ERPNext, SAP B1, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Tally Prime, Odoo).
