Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton Hotel Company LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team in Doha. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of cash, petty cash, and bank transactions while supporting month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, distribute and record petty cash, cashier banks and contracts in accordance with SOPs.
• Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper coding.
• Classify, code and summarize numerical and financial data using journals, ledgers or computer systems.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and generate required reports.
• Audit cashier banks periodically and act as liaison with armored‑car services or banking institutions.
• Participate in internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensure SOP compliance.
• Document, maintain and communicate cash variances according to SOPs.
• Uphold company policies, confidentiality, and professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant experience in cash handling or accounts payable.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Mathematical accuracy.
• Knowledge of proper coding and cash variance procedures.
• Familiarity with audit processes and SOP compliance.
