AI Engineer

About the role

The AI Engineer will design, develop and deploy Agentic AI solutions and AI‑enabled platforms for the Data & AI Lab, supporting banking operations and customer‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Agentic AI solutions, including autonomous workflows and multi‑agent systems.
• Build and maintain AI platform components such as vector stores, embedding pipelines and document processing workflows.
• Deploy AI services on Azure and GCP, manage model serving on OpenShift/Kubernetes and implement real‑time data streaming with Kafka.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integration layers for AI services consumption across banking applications.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance and regulatory standards and follow CI/CD best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• 4‑6 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML applications.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required skills

• Python (advanced) and AI/ML libraries such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• REST API development and microservices architecture.
• SQL (advanced) including stored procedures and window functions.
• Version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab).
• Cloud services: Azure, GCP, object storage (S3, GCS, ABS).
• Data streaming with Kafka and workflow orchestration with Airflow or Apache NiFi.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Vector databases (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation patterns.
• Deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch; model deployment tools: MLflow, TFX.
