AI Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer (Java)

About the role

We are seeking an AI Software Engineer who will work on‑site in Doha to design and deliver AI‑enhanced, enterprise‑grade Java applications. You will collaborate with architects and engineering leaders to embed Spec‑Driven Development and responsible AI practices into our microservice platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to AI architectures, integrating Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), agents, and automation into microservices.
• Implement Spec‑Driven Development (SDD) templates, governance, and CI/CD pipelines for AI prompts and models.
• Build and maintain production‑grade AI use cases, including LLMs, retrieval, and embeddings within Java/Spring Boot services.
• Ensure observability, version control, and security for AI components deployed on Azure AKS and Web Apps.
• Track KPIs related to AI‑enabled delivery, quality, and risk management.
• Share knowledge through playbooks, training, and mentoring across global engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Strong background in cloud‑native architecture, Oracle/PLSQL databases, Kafka, and Git‑based workflows.
• 1–2+ years delivering LLM‑based solutions, RAG architectures, or agentic AI in production.
• Experience with Azure services (AKS, Web Apps) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
