About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking experienced Airbus FBW family type‑rated Captains to join its rapidly expanding fleet of modern aircraft. The successful candidate will operate wide‑body and narrow‑body jets on international routes, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Command and operate Airbus aircraft (A380, A350, A340, A330, A320, A321F) on scheduled commercial flights.
• Lead the flight crew in all phases of flight, adhering to airline SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain situational awareness, conduct briefings, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Coordinate with ground operations and air traffic control to ensure efficient flight planning and execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 6,000 total flight hours on multi‑crew, multi‑engine jets with MTOW ≥ 50,000 kg.
• At least 500 PIC hours on an Airbus FBW aircraft (A380/A350/A340/A330/A320/A321F).
• Current ICAO ATPL with a valid instrument rating on the above types.
• Class 1 Medical Certificate valid for at least two months beyond the start date.
• English Language Proficiency Level 4 and a recent flight on the type within the past 12 months.

Required skills

• Airbus FBW type rating (A380, A350, A340, A330, A320, A321F).
• Multi‑crew, multi‑engine jet operation experience.
• Instrument rating and ICAO ATPL.
• Class 1 Medical certification.
• English language proficiency Level 4.
