Analyst – Cost Management (Contractor)

About the role

The Cost Management Analyst will monitor, analyze and manage organizational costs to ensure financial efficiency and regulatory compliance. The role supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, inventory analysis and cost‑optimization initiatives for a 12‑month contract in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for all cost‑management matters within the assigned function.
• Monitor, track and manage daily cost activities and periodic deliverables, coordinating with the Head of Section and Finance Controlling Manager.
• Prepare the annual financial cost‑management plan, financial models and supporting analysis.
• Develop and maintain procedures, guidelines and frameworks for cost planning, budgeting and financial modelling.
• Analyze historical and forward‑looking cost and inventory balances to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead monthly cost and inventory review meetings, challenge variances, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cost management, FP&A, budgeting, management accounting or financial controlling.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for delivering financial insights to management.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, financial controls and compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
• Hands‑on experience with cost and inventory analysis, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Experience with ERP or financial reporting systems (preferred).
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost‑planning capabilities.
• Ability to prepare and analyse consolidated budgets across multiple entities.
