Apache Mechanical Technician (Avionics)

About the role

Boeing Global Services is seeking an experienced Apache Mechanical Technician (Avionics) to join the AH‑64E Qatar Air Force Maintenance Augmentation Team at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting the aircraft’s electrical, avionics, armament, fire‑control, radar, visionics, and survivability systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AH‑64E electrical, avionics, armament, fire‑control, radar, visionics, and ASE systems using QAF‑specific manuals and checklists.
• Diagnose and repair solid‑state and transistorized device malfunctions.
• Handle ammunition, conduct weapon loading/unloading, arming/de‑arming, and configure weapon subsystems.
• Use precision measuring tools, alignment fixtures, and diagnostic equipment to verify system performance.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections, complete maintenance forms, and maintain shop and bench stock items.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, coaching, and mentorship to QAF personnel on technical publications, tools, and equipment.
• Travel on short notice domestically and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience with AH‑64D/E aircraft electrical, avionics, armament, fire‑control, or ASE systems.
• Ability to work under general direction and coordinate training.
• Willingness to work 100 % onsite at Al Udeid Air Base.
