Apache Mechanical Technician – General

About the role

Boeing Global Service is seeking an Apache Mechanical Technician - General to join the AH-64 Qatar Air Force Maintenance Augmentation Team (MAT) at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This is an international, locally hired position; benefits and pay are set at the local level in line with Qatari law, and the employer is willing to sponsor an employment visa. Relocation is offered where eligible, and the position is not contingent on program award.

Key responsibilities

• Perform AH-64E aircraft maintenance and aircrew duties using the QAF-specific manuals and checklists.
• Remove and install systems and components such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions and flight controls, and service and lubricate aircraft systems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks, and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Use measuring tools, gauges and alignment fixtures, and carry out routine and special inspections and operational checks.
• Diagnose and solve subsystem problems, and operate tools, AGSE and PGSE.
• Prepare maintenance forms and records, document procedures for compliance, and verify repairs for flightworthiness.
• Assemble, disassemble, modify and configure aerospace vehicles, fix pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems, and coordinate training and OJT for QAF personnel.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience with the AH-64D or AH-64E aircraft.
• 3+ years of experience with Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A(E)) and Enhanced Logbook Automation System (ELAS).
• Qualified through a U.S. Government armed forces aircraft maintenance course or civilian equivalent, approved by the contracting officer.
• Willingness to travel on short notice, domestically and internationally, and to work under general direction.

Preferred qualifications

• Airframe and powerplant license or equivalent.
• Instructor experience for ASE technicians, or prior experience in another aviation maintenance field.
• Prior experience in the Southwest Asia or desert region.
