Armaments Junior Supervisor – Typhoon Aircraft

About the role

The Armaments Junior Supervisor is responsible for overseeing detailed maintenance activities on the Typhoon aircraft and its weapon systems. Working within a dynamic operational environment, the role ensures airworthiness through effective task delegation, supervision and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise maintenance, inspection, repair and modification tasks on Typhoon aircraft and weapon components.
• Delegate work, authorise tasks and ensure personnel are competent and approved for assigned activities.
• Diagnose faults, raise work cards and coordinate corrective actions, including configuration management.
• Maintain compliance with Statements of Work, work packages and approved technical data.
• Provide guidance, training and performance development for less‑experienced team members.
• Conduct oversight checks, control tooling and test equipment, and report impacts on programme schedules.

Required profile

• Demonstrated people‑management and leadership abilities.
• Strong awareness of external dependencies and continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Excellent understanding of approved data sets and regulatory requirements for aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to analyse and diagnose equipment faults and work effectively within a team.
