Assistant Director of Housekeeping

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, guest‑focused Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join our team at City Centre Rotana Doha. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will help oversee daily operations and ensure the Rotana standards of cleanliness and service are consistently delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect rooms and public areas to verify cleanliness standards and adjust work schedules based on occupancy.
• Supervise periodic deep‑cleaning tasks, maintain accurate records, and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Front Office to schedule repairs, maintenance, and spring‑cleaning activities, ensuring proper documentation in room history.
• Determine discards of linen, towels, blankets and other items, and recommend new purchases as needed.
• Monitor uniform condition, place orders for replacements, and maintain open communication with team members and supervisors.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum three years of management experience within a hotel housekeeping department.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong eye for detail, self‑motivated, flexible and creative.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Micros property management system.
• Proficiency with Opera property management system.
• General computer literacy for administration and organization.
