Assistant Manager - Collections

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Collections will lead the accounts receivable function, driving timely customer payments and reducing outstanding balances. You will work closely with business units to analyse payment trends, resolve disputes and support working‑capital optimisation while upholding high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts receivable processes and ensure timely collection of payments.
• Analyse customer payment patterns, follow up overdue accounts and resolve payment disputes.
• Prepare accounts receivable, working‑capital and financial reports for monthly, quarterly and statutory reporting cycles.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Collaborate with business units to reconcile financial data, provide performance insights and contribute to working‑capital optimisation initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of AR staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and customer focus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA or CIMA.
• 6–8 years of finance or accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical abilities and advanced Excel proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounts receivable processes; familiarity with IFRS and Oracle Fusion is preferred.
