Assistant Manager - Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to lead our freight forwarding operations in Qatar. The role involves overseeing daily logistics activities, coordinating shipments across air, sea, and land, and ensuring timely delivery for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily freight forwarding operations and supervise the operations team.
• Coordinate air, sea, and land shipments, handling bookings, tracking, and delivery.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation.
• Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, transporters, customs agents, and overseas partners.
• Resolve operational issues quickly and provide regular updates to management.
• Prepare freight quotations, negotiate rates, and monitor costs, billing, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Qatar customs requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of air, sea, and land freight processes.
• Experience with shipment documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team management and coordination skills.
• Experience in Qatar or GCC is an advantage.
