Assistant Manager, Regulatory & Financial Reporting

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Regulatory & Financial Reporting will support the preparation, automation and accuracy of Qatar regulatory and financial reports. This role works closely with auditors, technology teams and internal departments to ensure compliance with QCB requirements and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with external auditors for audit/review of regulatory returns required by the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and resolve related queries.
• Liaise with technology teams to support automation and enhancement of Qatar regulatory reports, ensuring data accuracy, control and efficiency.
• Work with relevant departments to investigate, rectify and resolve data issues affecting regulatory and financial reporting accuracy.
• Ensure expenses are booked accurately to the correct business groups and cost centres and monitor controllable expenses closely.
• Process payments in accordance with the Authority Delegation Manual (ADM) and internal approval requirements.
• Review and maintain regulatory reporting SOPs and SLAs; update existing SOPs and develop new ones for new regulatory returns or processes.
• Review the Statement of Conditions (SOC) for Qatar at month‑end and coordinate rectification of abnormal or unsupported balances.
• Support finalisation of annual financial statements in line with IFRS, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely submission to QCB.
• Conduct Risk Control Self‑Assessments (RCSA) for regulatory reporting, management reporting and ALCO reporting processes.

Required profile

• University graduate, preferably in Finance, Accountancy or related subjects.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or MBA in Finance.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably with a major bank or a Big 4 firm.
• Self‑motivated, dynamic, creative and committed to success.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills.
• Responsible for completion of special projects as required.
