Assistant Manager – SME Relationship Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager for SME Relationship Management will support QNB's SME sales team by driving the acquisition and growth of small‑and‑medium‑enterprise customers. This position focuses on both asset and liability products while ensuring a high‑quality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively market and solicit SME relationships for assets and liabilities.
  • Implement and monitor marketing plans against agreed objectives.
  • Maintain portfolio quality and act as a one‑stop solution for customer requests.
  • Manage and develop existing and new SME relationships within delegated authority and QNB credit policies.
  • Prepare credit proposals, negotiate terms, and book credit limits.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth account operations.
  • Provide inputs for strategy, volume, revenue, and profit targets for the SME segment.
  • Support development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance and compliance.
  • Promote cost efficiency and adherence to best corporate banking practices.

Required profile

  • Experience in SME or corporate banking relationship management.
  • Understanding of credit policies and proposal preparation.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior team members and cross‑functional departments.
