Assistant Manager - Treasury

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Treasury will implement treasury policies and strategies, manage cash flows efficiently, and provide timely financial information to senior management. This role also focuses on risk mitigation in cash management and trade finance while adopting emerging treasury technologies as directed by Asset and Asset Management guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and strategize cash and bank balances, communicating decisions to senior finance management.
• Review and approve POS transaction reconciliations and drive automation.
• Oversee all incoming receipt accounting and ensure accurate cash and bank reconciliations.
• Optimize treasury operations, develop efficiency strategies, and safeguard assets while minimizing costs.
• Ensure compliance with letters of credit, guarantees, and applicable legal and banking frameworks.
• Coordinate quarterly, half‑yearly and annual audit requirements and maintain proper controls over banking stationery and cash counts.
• Guarantee that treasury services to internal and external customers are responsive, accurate and reliable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree in Finance with ACA/FCCA/CPA (CTP preferred).
• 2–3 years of managerial experience in treasury, cash management or trade finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory frameworks governing treasury transactions.
• Proven ability to work with business units to resolve challenges and advise solutions with senior finance approval.
