Assistant Sales Manager (Leisure)

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager (Leisure) supports Marriott’s sales and marketing efforts in Doha, focusing on guest loyalty, revenue growth, and brand promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty, including up‑selling.
• Determine and provide complimentary gifts such as rewards points, show tickets, or gift certificates.
• Promote brand awareness internally and externally.
• Process Marriott Rewards redemptions and all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information into the reservation system.
• Answer, record, and process all guest inquiries and concerns.
• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing (filing, emailing, typing, faxing).
• Assist management in training and motivating employees, serving as a role model.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly, prepare accurate written documents, and use proper telephone etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Monitor performance to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and verify information in various formats.
• Move, lift, and place objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
