Associate NOC Support Engineer

About the role

The Associate NOC Support Engineer works in a 24×7 Network Operations Center, monitoring the health, performance and availability of servers, network devices, cloud services, applications and databases. The role focuses on early detection of incidents, first‑level troubleshooting and coordination with specialised support teams to ensure service continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools and track system availability, performance and capacity.
• Validate alerts, differentiate genuine incidents from false positives and perform initial impact assessments.
• Create, update and manage incident tickets in the IT Service Management platform, escalating according to SLA.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Database, Security and Application teams to resolve incidents.
• Participate in major incident management, bridge calls and operational communications.
• Prepare daily status, monitoring summary and shift handover reports, and maintain SOPs, runbooks and knowledge‑base articles.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives for monitoring, alerting and incident response processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center, IT monitoring or technical support environment.
• Professional certifications in IT operations or monitoring are a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Zabbix and BMC Helix.
• Proficiency in using IT Service Management tools for ticket handling.
• Strong understanding of server, network, storage and cloud performance metrics.
