ATM Cash Management & Reconciliation Specialist

About the role

The ATM Cash Management & Reconciliation Specialist ensures ATMs are accurately funded, balances daily transactions and resolves financial discrepancies. Acting as the financial gatekeepers for automated banking networks, the role covers cash forecasting, daily reconciliation, vendor coordination and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Cash forecasting and optimization: analyze historical usage trends so ATMs never run out of cash while minimizing idle cash.
• Daily reconciliation: match physical cash balances and ATM journal logs against network reports and core banking ledger systems.
• Discrepancy resolution: investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions, customer disputes, shortages and overages.
• Vendor coordination: manage relationships with armored car services (CIT - Cash-in-Transit) for cash replenishment and scheduling.
• Compliance and risk management: follow internal audit controls, AML guidelines and dual-control security procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field, or equivalent banking experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in banking operations, cash vault management or financial reconciliation.
• Strong numerical aptitude for spotting patterns, trend anomalies and ledger variances.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving and time management, and clear communication with vendors and branch managers.
• English and Arabic are an advantage but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data manipulation).
• Core banking platforms such as Finacle, FIS or Fiserv.
• ATM management software such as NCR or Diebold Nixdorf.
