Automation Engineer – PLC, HMI & SCADA

About the role

We are seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer with hands‑on experience in PLC, HMI and SCADA programming, testing and commissioning. The role spans projects in water & wastewater, HVAC, oil & gas and other industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and commission PLC programs ensuring reliable automation systems.
• Create SCADA/HMI graphics and tailor solutions to client specifications.
• Perform pre‑commissioning tasks such as cable termination verification and loop checking.
• Conduct field testing, commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at client sites.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, I/O lists and system architecture diagrams.
• Maintain software versions, programming tools and program backups.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams to translate client requirements into automation solutions.

Required profile

• Technical school graduation or diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Automation or a related field.
• Ability to work independently, manage medium to high‑complexity tasks and deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong attention to detail, resilience and solid organizational skills.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Ladder logic, Functional Block Diagram, Structured Text).
• HMI and SCADA development.
• Industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP.
• Data logging on Historian servers.
• Cable termination verification and loop checking.
• Field testing, commissioning and SAT.
• Preparation of functional specifications, I/O lists and system architecture diagrams.
