AV Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AV Technician to join our luxury hotel in Doha. The role involves setting up, operating and maintaining audio‑visual equipment for events, conferences and entertainment programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and test projectors, microphones, sound and lighting systems, video monitors, cameras and video‑conferencing equipment before each event.
• Operate AV systems during live events, handling audio mixing, video switching and lighting control to ensure high‑quality presentation.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnose technical issues and arrange repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Collaborate with event coordinators, IT teams and performers to meet specific technical requirements.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of proven experience as an AV Technician, preferably in luxury hospitality or live‑production environments.
• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Audio‑Visual Technology or a related field is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work flexible rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with projectors, wired and wireless microphones, PA systems, audio mixers, amplifiers, LED screens and lighting consoles.
• Proficiency in live sound mixing, video switching, lighting control and signal‑flow management.
• Knowledge of cabling, power distribution and equipment safety standards.
