About the role
We are looking for a highly experienced Board Secretary & Governance Officer to provide comprehensive support to the Board of Directors, shareholders and executive management of a leading diversified business group in Qatar. This senior executive role ensures the effective administration of board and committee affairs, upholds the highest standards of corporate governance and facilitates seamless communication among key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, review and consolidate Board and Committee materials, including high‑quality Board packs, PowerPoint presentations, executive briefing notes and governance reports.
- Coordinate and administer Board of Directors, Committee and Shareholder meetings, including AGMs and EGMs, managing agendas, logistics and attendance confirmations.
- Maintain shareholder records, resolutions, governance documentation and statutory registers.
- Draft and maintain accurate Board minutes, resolutions and governance correspondence.
- Monitor follow‑up on Board decisions, approvals and action items to ensure timely completion.
- Support governance audits, compliance reviews and the continuous enhancement of governance policies, charters and delegation frameworks.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in board secretarial, corporate governance or similar senior administrative roles.
- Strong understanding of governance best practices, regulatory requirements and corporate secretarial procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality handling and document control.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high‑stakes meetings and deadlines simultaneously.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
