Carpenter / General Maintenance Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Carpenter/General Maintenance Technician will perform carpentry fabrication, repair, and reconstruction tasks in accordance with designs, blueprints and building codes, while also handling general maintenance duties in a deployed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, and modification orders to plan and execute work efficiently.
• Construct, repair, restore, and install structures such as floors, doors, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, and shelves.
• Build forms, frames, ceilings, and roofs using lumber, plywood, wafer board, sheetrock, steel studs, foam board, and cement board.
• Fabricate items according to designs, blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
• Repair or reconstruct damaged wood stairs, floors, frames, rafters, joists, and trusses to meet building code requirements.
• Repair doors, roofs, ceilings, stairs, floors, windows, and roll‑up doors.
• Clean equipment, shop area, and work site.
• Observe all current OSHA, AFOSHA ES&H, and fire regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site management or supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in carpentry and general maintenance.
• Journeyman or Master certified carpenter (Welding experience preferred).
• Ability to solve problems with broken items, parts, or fixtures.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Ability to meet USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements and obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust, high temperatures, and long hours.
• 100% travel in deployed locations and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.

• Welding (preferred).
• Compliance with OSHA and AFOSHA safety standards.
