Chief Public Relations & Communications Officer

About the role

The Chief Public Relations & Communications Officer (CPRCO) reports directly to the CEO and serves as the principal advisor on corporate messaging, public positioning, executive visibility, and crisis communications. This senior leader shapes and protects the organization’s reputation through strategic communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all media relations, press office activities, and corporate communications, building strong relationships with local, regional and international media outlets.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances brand reputation and ensures consistent messaging across all channels.
• Manage crisis communication frameworks, response protocols, and media response strategies, providing spokesperson training and media coaching to senior leadership.
• Oversee stakeholder and public affairs communications, including government, regulators, industry bodies, and investor relations.
• Drive internal communications to boost employee engagement and support organizational strategy, culture and change initiatives.
• Supervise digital and content strategy, overseeing website content, social media presence and external communications to strengthen brand positioning.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, journalism or public affairs.
• Proven track record managing corporate reputation, high‑profile communications and supporting CEOs and executive teams.
• Strong network within media organisations, press agencies and key public stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is highly preferred.
