Civil 3D BIM Modeler

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Civil 3D BIM Modeler to join its Qatar team. You will use advanced Civil 3D and BIM expertise to create detailed 3D models for stormwater drainage and wet utility systems, supporting production automation and ensuring constructible designs.

Key responsibilities

• Create coordinated 3D models for water mains, distribution networks, foul sewer, stormwater drainage, retention systems, and associated structures such as manholes, chambers, catch basins, valve boxes, and culverts.
• Develop and maintain accurate Civil 3D models and drawings in line with project specifications and client standards.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, BIM coordinators, and other discipline modelers to represent design intent, support multidisciplinary integration, and participate in coordination meetings.
• Perform quality checks, revisions, and ensure high accuracy and reliability of models.
• Develop alignments, profiles, corridors and work with Data Shortcuts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Autodesk Civil 3D BIM modelling for civil works, focusing on wet utilities and stormwater drainage.
• Proven experience on infrastructure projects involving water, sewer, stormwater networks, or large‑scale urban developments.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, survey data, and design reports.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Advanced drafting and detailing with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Navisworks Manage for model review and clash detection.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows, BIM Execution Plans, and Levels of Development (LOD).
• Good communication skills for coordination with engineers and stakeholders.
