Commis 2 – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as a Commis 2, supporting the culinary team in delivering high‑quality food and memorable dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the culinary team with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Complete assigned mise en place according to recipes and departmental standards.
• Prepare ingredients and basic dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, hygiene, and sanitation procedures, complying with HACCP standards.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies and support stock control.

Required profile

• Culinary qualification or diploma (preferred).
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene, safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established kitchen procedures.
• Good teamwork, communication and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
