About the role
The Commis Chef I will support the food and beverage outlets of Qatar Duty Free by preparing meals according to production plans, ensuring high quality, safety, and visual appeal. This is an onsite kitchen position at Hamad International Airport.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare meals following standard recipes and production plans, measuring ingredients accurately.
- Manage food stock, label and rotate inventory, and control waste to support kitchen profitability.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards, reporting any issues to the Sous Chef.
- Monitor raw material quality regularly and ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines.
- Present dishes that meet company specifications for flavor, texture, and appearance.
Required profile
- High school graduation.
- Certificate in Catering or Professional Cookery.
- Completed HACCP training.
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar kitchen role.
Required skills
- HACCP knowledge and application.
