Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic kitchen professional to join our culinary team as a Commis I. In this entry‑level position you will support the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie with daily kitchen tasks.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place and produce food across various sections of the main kitchen and satellite stations.
• Follow menu specifications and maintain strict hygiene standards in the work area.
• Control food stock levels and monitor food cost within your section.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Maintain consistent quality and stay updated on new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Coordinate with other sections to manage cleanliness, waste reduction, and cost control.

Required profile

• Completed a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience in reputable establishments with solid culinary fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Proven knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Positive, dynamic, creative, and dedicated team player able to work in a multicultural environment.
