Commis II – Kitchen Production

About the role

The Commis II will assist in preparing and producing savoury food items as well as supporting pastry preparations. The role ensures consistent quality, taste, presentation and portion control while maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce savoury food items and assist with pastry preparations.
• Maintain consistency in quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Assist with mise en place and daily production tasks.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in all work areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Handle storage, labeling, dating, and rotation of food items.
• Support the Pastry Chef and culinary team during special events and high‑volume periods.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn pastry, bakery, and dessert techniques.
