About the role
The Computer Service Technician provides first‑level support for information systems hardware and software in a service‑center environment. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and documenting issues while communicating solutions in a clear, professional manner.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical maintenance and service for all Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) devices.
- Evaluate equipment for malfunctions, perform baseline procedures, and replace hardware components.
- Collaborate with the Systems Support Specialist Lead to assess workstations, monitors, printers, servers, and peripherals.
- Conduct final technical inspections and update the work‑order tracking system.
- Perform monthly UBL inventories and assist with cyclical property inventories.
- Execute additional duties and assignments as required.
Required profile
- College degree or equivalent experience (three years of related experience may substitute one year of education).
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a NAC and maintain a Smart Card.
- Minimum 3 years of related technical support experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (reading, speaking, writing level 3).
- Proficiency with the latest version of Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Maximo or a similar work‑order system.
