Construction Supervisor (Civil) – High-Rise Tower Projects

About the role

A site-based Construction Supervisor (Civil) position in Qatar, focused on mega civil and infrastructure projects such as high-rise towers. The role covers monitoring site activities, coordinating civil, structural and infrastructure works with contractors, and keeping the project on schedule and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all site activities, inspect regularly and ensure work follows approved JHA, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems and the latest instructions.
• Identify and implement risk reduction measures across all construction areas and phases.
• Review and check method statements, JHAs, safety certifications and other documents submitted by consultants and contractors.
• Take action when work lags behind the approved schedule, report to the supervisor and propose recovery actions.
• Coordinate civil, structural and infrastructure works with other disciplines and supervise contractors to meet the overall safety goal.
• Attend weekly (or more frequent) meetings with contractors, subcontractors and vendors to review progress and solve critical issues.
• Perform field inspections, surveys and reviews, advise on administrative close-out precautions and investigate accidents and incidents.
• Ensure contractors follow company safety regulations, project safety plans and Qatar's environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and act as the construction focal point for multi-disciplinary issues.
• Update daily and weekly progress reports and verify contractors' progress statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in civil, infrastructure and complex structures (mega projects), including high-rise towers.
• Background in oil and gas major projects onshore.
• Familiarity with local, national and international codes, standards and specifications.
• Ability to review engineering, detailed design and shop drawings and related calculations.
• Experience managing structural and civil works for high-rise towers in a marine environment.
• Good command of English (oral and written).
