Consultant Anesthesiologist – Full‑Time Position in Qatar

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Qatar. This full‑time role offers the chance to work in a modern facility, delivering high‑quality peri‑operative care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre‑anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for elective and emergency surgeries.
• Monitor patients throughout the peri‑operative period and ensure safe recovery.
• Manage airway emergencies, resuscitation, and critical‑care cases.
• Provide acute and chronic pain management services.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to clinical governance and patient‑safety standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality‑improvement initiatives, CME, and clinical audits.
• Mentor and supervise junior medical staff where applicable.

Required profile

• MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualification in Anesthesiology with board certification.
• 5–10 years of post‑specialization experience at the Consultant level.
• Eligibility for, or ability to obtain, Qatar medical licensure.
• International experience in accredited hospitals is an advantage.
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
