Consultant Gastrointestinal & Endocrine Surgeon

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting a Consultant Gastrointestinal & Endocrine Surgeon for a leading tertiary‑care hospital in Doha, Qatar. The role involves delivering high‑quality surgical care for complex gastrointestinal and endocrine conditions within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage a broad range of gastrointestinal disorders, performing both elective and emergency procedures.
• Perform endocrine surgeries on thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands, adhering to specialist training and hospital privileges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, provide pre‑operative, operative and post‑operative care, and monitor recovery.
• Utilise minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques where credentialed.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, oncologists, radiologists and other specialists in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to audits, quality improvement and junior staff education.

Required profile

• UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Surgery or an equivalent recognised surgical specialty.
• Significant consultant‑level experience in gastrointestinal surgery with proven expertise in endocrine surgery.
• Eligibility for consultant‑level professional licensing in Qatar.
• Strong clinical judgement, decision‑making and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
