Consultant Internal Medicine – Qatar

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant in Internal Medicine to join a leading healthcare provider in Qatar. The role involves delivering evidence‑based, comprehensive care to adult patients across acute, chronic and preventive settings.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage a broad spectrum of adult medical conditions in outpatient, inpatient and emergency environments.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines.
• Coordinate care with specialists, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity.
• Provide preventive health services, education and lifestyle counseling.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality‑improvement projects, clinical audits and CME activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians and medical staff as required.

Required profile

• MD, DNB, MRCP, FRCP, Arab Board or equivalent qualification in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or recognized consultant qualification.
• 5–10 years of post‑specialisation experience at consultant level.
• Eligibility for Qatar medical licensure or ability to obtain it.
• Strong clinical expertise in managing complex adult conditions.
• Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills.
