Contract Specialist - Supply Chain

About the role
The Contract Specialist will lead the end‑to‑end contract and tendering process for a wide range of supply‑chain requirements, ensuring alignment with QAFAC’s strategic objectives and procurement policies. This role manages contracts from initiation through award and post‑award administration while maintaining compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize and administer the full contract and tendering lifecycle.
- Manage contracts from initiation to award, including amendments, change orders and variations.
- Review and recommend appropriate contract types and prepare all contract documentation.
- Maintain contract records, logs and monitor contract values against approved limits.
- Oversee tender management activities: review scopes, coordinate with Legal and Finance, issue tender announcements, conduct market research and prepare bidders’ lists.
- Administer technical and commercial bid submissions, participate in negotiations and recommend contract awards.
- Develop and maintain competitive supplier sources locally and internationally.
- Identify opportunities for price agreements and call‑off contracts.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations, prepare commercial evaluation reports, bid tabulation sheets and cost analyses.
- Prepare work breakdown reports, track contract effective and expiry dates, and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Support continuous improvement of contract procedures and ensure compliance with QAFAC policies and international regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum three years of contract management experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, contractual terms and relevant regulations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Finance and Legal teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
