Contracts Specialist - Oil & Gas (LNG Project, Qatar)

About the role

An experienced Contracts Specialist is sought to support post-award contract management for a major LNG onshore project in Qatar. The role covers commercial and contractual matters on large-scale EPCC contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk and supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage post-award commercial and contractual activities for major EPCC contracts.
• Prepare and administer contractual correspondence, notices, change orders and variations.
• Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor contractor obligations, deliverables, milestones and compliance.
• Provide timely commercial and contractual advice to the Project Management Team.
• Support contract performance reporting, evaluations and close-out.
• Coordinate with Legal, Risk Management and other stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering, law, supply chain or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a business-related function.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors or service companies.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in contractor management and post-award contract administration, including drafting correspondence, managing change orders and variations, and advising project management teams.
