Crane Operator – Assembly Cranes, Qatar

About the role

Aertssen Machinery Services, part of the Belgian Aertssen Group, is hiring a full-time crane operator in Qatar. The operator performs lifting operations with assembly cranes at construction sites and industrial facilities, working within the company's Heavy Lifting & Earthmoving division.

Key responsibilities

• Lift, position and place machinery, equipment and other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.
• Inspect the cranes daily and check whether any parts are malfunctioning.
• Ensure the work is carried out correctly and safely.
• Collaborate constantly with the site manager, foreman, rigger and other involved parties.

Required profile

• Mandatory Qatar driving licence (valid or expired).
• Solid written and reading English.
• Broad expertise in operating equipment and lifting gear.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in GCC countries, with experience certificates and a GCC driving licence.
• Crawler and mobile crane experience is a must.

Required skills

• Preferably experience on all-terrain cranes above 100-250 tons with Liebherr, Grove, Demag or Tadano.
• Preferred experience on crawler cranes 100-600 tons with Hitachi Sumitomo, Terex, Demag or Tadano Demag.
