Creative Director

About the role

The Creative Director improves the quality of group communication content and increases engagement across all communication platforms. The role develops strategies for best practices and creates new systems, processes and tools for complex integrated client projects. It also oversees the design team and provides art direction on print and digital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent projects to quality, on-time delivery and within budget, and set up efficient processes for consistent results.
• Provide art direction and oversee the design team on all print and digital projects.
• Develop and implement an organizational communication strategy, focusing on social media outreach, follower growth, engagement and user experience.
• Ensure compliance with consent forms, parental permissions, special permissions for vulnerable groups, copyright and defamation rules.
• Turn concepts into print deliverables and online graphics, working with the team to bring documents to life.
• Deliver according to brand guidelines, agreed processes, timelines and budgets.
• Manage project scoping, planning, scheduling, resource estimation and timelines.
• Mentor, motivate and monitor the creative team, stay up to date on design trends and technologies and share learnings.
• Build productive relationships with department, account teams and staff.

Required profile

• Expertise in visual arts, graphic design and multimedia production.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to pitch concepts to clients and work with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of emerging design trends and technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools.
• SAP ERP knowledge is required.
