Customs Clearance Broker

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding in Doha as a Customs Clearance Broker, handling customs declarations and ensuring smooth clearance of shipments in compliance with Qatar regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all types of customs declarations according to Qatar Customs regulations.
• Ensure timely customs clearance activities and inspections on site.
• Oversee safe inspection processes, including proper packing and repacking of goods.
• Report any non‑compliance, damage or loss of items.
• Classify goods using the tariff coding system and examine product information for regulatory compliance.
• Calculate and arrange payment of taxes, duties, and tariff obligations.
• Prepare and process import and export documentation, including customs invoices and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with logistics and business operations to clear goods through customs to their destinations.
• Maintain relationships with customs officials and other agencies to expedite cargo clearance.
• Advise customers on import/export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas and other customs‑related matters.

Required profile

• Valid Customs Brokerage License issued in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of import and export documentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with industry stakeholders such as shipping lines, CFS and transporters.
• Attention to detail and results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Valid Qatar customs brokerage license.
• Knowledge of imports/exports documents and customs regulations.
• Understanding of tariff coding and duty calculation.
