Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to support the Internal Audit team of QR Group in Doha, Qatar. The role involves importing, cleaning, validating and modelling data to provide insights for audit reviews and fraud investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with operational management and their teams, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support the Internal Audit strategy aligned with QR Group’s strategic objectives.
• Deliver analysis of structured and unstructured data from various sources, including ad‑hoc projects.
• Identify patterns and trends, compile and present insights in a structured manner.
• Prepare statistical support and communicate findings to inform decision‑making.
• Corroborate investigation facts and develop comprehensive reports with recommendations.
• Design and develop automated reporting using corporate applications.
• Identify risks and opportunities through data analysis and inform the Line Manager.
• Identify valuable data sources, understand interrelations between datasets, and ensure data handling measures are adhered to.
• Use ACL and other analytical tools, write scripts to automate data processing, cleansing, and integrity verification.
• Ensure timely, accurate information that highlights areas of opportunity or risk.
• Participate in high‑value/high‑risk audits, performing complex tests and documenting results.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to support IA reviews.

Required profile

• Experience supporting audit or fraud investigation projects.
• Ability to build strong relationships with operational teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data integrity.
