Data Center Architect – Design & Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Architect to lead the design and construction of mission‑critical data centre facilities in Doha, Qatar. The role involves creating efficient, scalable, and compliant architectural solutions from concept through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs for data centre projects, delivering concept, schematic, detailed design and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, international data centre standards and client specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, provide technical guidance, and support BIM teams in 3D model development and coordination.
• Optimize spatial planning, equipment layouts, circulation, operational workflows and maintenance access.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide design clarifications during construction.
• Assist with permitting processes and contribute to value‑engineering and cost‑efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 + years of architectural design and construction experience, with significant exposure to data centre projects.
• Proven track record delivering mission‑critical or hyperscale data centre facilities.
• Experience working on projects in the Middle East is preferred.
• Eligibility to work in Qatar or ability to obtain the required work authorization.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM workflows and architectural design software.
