Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets, enabling data‑driven decision‑making for our operations in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize, process, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Translate business problems into analytical research and data studies.
• Identify appropriate data sources and gather relevant datasets.
• Clean, validate, and prepare data for analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform statistical and analytical evaluations to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain data models, databases, and ETL processes.
• Design and implement algorithms to solve complex data‑related challenges.
• Work with big data platforms such as Apache Spark and Hadoop for large‑scale data processing.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and Tableau.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with organizational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Information Technology or a related analytical discipline.
• Proven experience in data engineering, data analytics, statistical analysis or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience working with large datasets and database systems.
• Experience in data modeling, database design, ETL processes and data mining techniques.
• Experience with reporting tools and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience with big data technologies is highly desirable.
