Data Scientist – Group Actuarial Team

About the role

We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join the Group Actuarial team at Qatar Insurance Company. The role focuses on building data‑driven solutions that support actuarial analysis and business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy analytical models using R, Python and SQL.
• Design interactive dashboards and user interfaces with RShiny or Dash for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Extract, clean and model unstructured data using OCR, web‑scraping and Large Language Models.
• Build scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
• Maintain predictive analytics models, automation scripts and reporting tools.
• Stay current with advances in machine learning, cloud computing and AI.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in data science or analytics.
• Strong understanding of statistical modelling, optimization and modern machine learning techniques.
• Knowledge of actuarial concepts is a plus.
