Database Administrator – Oracle 19c Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator with deep expertise in Oracle Database 19c on both Linux and Windows environments. The role involves end‑to‑end management of Oracle and SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and patch Oracle Database 19c, including multitenant (CDB/PDB) architectures.
• Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN, Flashback Database and Guaranteed Restore Points.
• Monitor health, performance and capacity using AWR, ASH, ADDM reports and tune parameters, memory structures and storage.
• Administer Oracle Data Guard, manage failover/switchover and support disaster‑recovery testing.
• Handle database creation, cloning, refreshes and environment provisioning.
• Provide MS SQL Server backup, recovery, replication and query optimisation.
• Support migration projects between Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL platforms.
• Implement security best practices, manage users/roles/privileges and ensure compliance.
• Produce technical documentation, SOPs, implementation and rollback plans.
• Participate in on‑call L2/L3 support for production databases.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong expertise with Oracle Database 19c on Linux and Windows.
• Hands‑on experience with RMAN, Data Guard, Flashback, and multitenant environments.
• Proven ability to tune performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Experience with MS SQL Server administration and MySQL migration projects is highly desirable.
