Day Tool Pusher – Drilling Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Day Tool Pusher leads all drilling operations during the day shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and successful well completion while coordinating closely with the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and client representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise drill floor activities, ensuring personnel and equipment safety.
• Plan and schedule all drilling and associated operations, obtaining OIM approval for any deviations from the client’s well plan.
• Coordinate with the Night Tool Pusher, OIM, and client representatives on program progress and changes.
• Relieve the Driller at the console when required and ensure equipment readiness for each drilling phase.
• Assist and supervise the drilling crew, maintaining well stability and managing hole problems.
• Operate the drilling unit in strict compliance with company drilling and well‑control manuals and approve related work permits.
• Implement well‑control procedures, perform calculations, and maintain testing of well‑control equipment.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team, conduct safety drills, and ensure emergency procedures are known.
• Support OIM in maintaining adequate stock of parts and overseeing maintenance of drilling equipment such as draw works, mud pumps, top drive, rotary table, and BOP.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising day‑shift drilling operations.
• Strong knowledge of well‑control requirements and emergency response protocols.
• Familiarity with drilling equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate drilling activities with OIM and client representatives.
• Capability to lead and train drilling crew members on safety and operational standards.
