DCS Control Engineer – India Recruitment Event

About the role

We are seeking a DCS Control Engineer to support expansion projects for offshore facilities in India. The role involves pre‑commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start‑up activities, as well as ongoing maintenance of control and safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start‑up of new equipment and offshore facilities.
• Support new projects by reviewing HAZOP, HAZID and risk screenings.
• Maintain offshore control and process safety systems at optimal performance through monitoring and analysis.
• Provide on‑line and shutdown maintenance to minimise downtime and resolve control system issues.
• Develop, implement and document modifications to control schemes following company procedures.
• Improve plant information systems, manage alarm management daily and ensure proper software backups.
• Support and test “hot spare” hardware and software modules for reliable system maintenance.
• Assist with commissioning of control systems and record all changes in documentation and schematics.
• Deliver technical training and coaching for technicians and national developers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience maintaining and monitoring control and safety systems in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to use relevant software tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to a multinational environment.
