Deputy Operations Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support and oversee daily operations across multiple business divisions in the Oil & Gas sector. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to drive performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day business functions across divisions to ensure efficient operations and meet customer and company expectations.
• Collaborate with Heads of Business Divisions to identify bottlenecks and implement productivity and cost‑effectiveness solutions.
• Gather, monitor, maintain, and analyze operational performance data; prepare reports for the Operations Manager.
• Identify and recommend resources—facilities, equipment, tools, IT, and manpower—to support continuity and growth.
• Evaluate and propose new business opportunities, services, and product lines based on division capabilities.
• Review tenders, contracts, agreements, and other commercial documents as required.
• Act on behalf of the Operations Manager during absences, handling decision‑making, conflict resolution, and operational leadership.
• Support strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; postgraduate qualification in Management or Business Administration is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or assistant‑managerial role.
• Mandatory experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of operations management principles and business process improvement.
• Experience in tender evaluation, contract review, and commercial documentation.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
