Development Engineer Level 2 – IFE & Connectivity

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Development Engineer Level 2 for IFE & Connectivity within its CAMO Engineering department in Doha. The role ensures compliance with continuing airworthiness requirements, analyses reliability alerts, and supports maintenance and internal customers with technical queries.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate airworthiness and service documentation (AD/CN/SB/SIL/OIT/AOTNSB/TFU/FTD) and take timely corrective actions.
• Analyse reliability reports, identify solutions for components and systems exceeding alert levels, and coordinate implementation with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist maintenance in resolving repeated defects, AOG support, and processing deviations to certified configurations.
• Review technical and commercial proposals, retrofit modification orders, and engineering change requests, providing recommendations.
• Prepare product specifications and support commercial teams in RFIs, RFPs, and purchase agreements for new or upgraded components.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in airworthiness, reliability, or technical support within a continuing airworthiness maintenance organization.
• Specific experience with IFE & Connectivity systems and familiarity with QCAA approved CAMO processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Airman, Airbus World, My Boeing Fleet, Airplane Health Management, Maintenance Performance Toolbox, and OEM system monitoring tools.
• Experience using Airbus Technical Request and Boeing Service Request applications.
• Knowledge of AMOS is an advantage.
