About the role
The Dining Services Assistant II prepares tables, obtains food from the kitchen, serves meals and beverages, removes crockery, and handles guest feedback while adhering to HACCP standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set tables with crockery, cutlery and linens.
- Collect food from the kitchen, serve it to guests, and clear items after the meal.
- Monitor tables during service, refill water, empty ashtrays and replenish guest needs.
- Prepare and serve tea and coffee on request.
- Control portion sizes in cafeteria service lines.
- Report guest complaints to the Dining Services Team Leader or Unit Manager.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Head of Department.
Required profile
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Entry‑level candidate; no prior job‑related experience required.
Required skills
- Previous experience in hotels or restaurants as a waiter (preferred).
- Understanding of HACCP food safety standards.
