Director of Marketing & Communications

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Director will shape and execute the organization’s brand strategy, drive customer engagement, and support overall business growth. Reporting to senior leadership, this role combines strategic vision with hands‑on creative execution while leading cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee brand positioning, ensuring consistency across digital, print, and broadcast channels.
• Create compelling content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
• Plan, launch, and optimise digital campaigns including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
• Manage media relations, crisis communications, and public‑relations initiatives.
• Organise corporate events, trade shows, and promotional activities to maximise visibility.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing marketing and communications team.
• Develop and control the marketing budget, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and ROI.
• Define, monitor, and report on KPIs to continuously improve performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in marketing or communications, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to design long‑term marketing strategies that align with business goals.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to refine strategies.
• Experience working in GCC markets is a plus.

Required skills

• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
• Expertise in SEO and SEM techniques.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and email marketing tools.
• Advanced data analysis capabilities.
